On the tenth anniversary of Geauga Lake’s closing, an Ohio Historical Marker was dedicated. The marker is located along Route 43 near the old Geauga Lake Ballroom building. Despite the park closing years before, Geauga Lake still has fans. The ceremony drew out many of them on September 17, 2017 to connect with the park one more time.
