Theme parks are designed to be fun. They feel packed, with something new always just around the corner. This requires a layout very different from the real world. Walt Disney was largely responsible for perfecting this concept. An example: if you go to Disney parks, the buildings are scaled down in such a way that the upper stories look taller. What this means is that many amusement park structures serve several purposes. Look at them from one side, and you may not later recognize them from another.
This is the Sandals Beachwear gift shop at Wildwater Kingdom. In the days of SeaWorld of Ohio, this was called the Hat Shop. However, it’s part of a larger complex built around SeaWorld’s Lakeside Cafe. This was one of five large buildings at SeaWorld of Ohio that housed multiple shops and/or restaurants. Only two of them remain inside Wildwater Kingdom.
This was the last time the shop was open. In other pictures on this site, it’s closed for good.
