Wildwater Kingdom opened in 2005 on the site of Six Flags which had only made minor changes since the park had been SeaWorld of Ohio. The new attractions for Wildwater Kingdom were laid out on top of the existing park infrastructure, so it felt similar to the old park, but smaller. Riptide Run (pictured) is a fairly exciting name for what is essentially a lazy river ride. This was reached by turning a hard right after the park entrance. The water ride surrounds what was the dolphin pool area of SeaWorld. The Liquid Lightning funnel looms in the background.
