Let’s talk for a second about sea lions and seals. They are natural swimmers, but a bit awkward on land. SeaWorld of Ohio had a few of each in an attraction called the Community Pool. Having worked at SeaWorld for several summers, I can say one thing: sea lions talk a lot. Most people can do some sort of impression of the sound they make. What’s amazing is I can’t remember a moment when they weren’t making this sound. If you were near them, you heard it. I can only assume that they are very social species. Somehow, the seal in the picture above can sleep through it all.
